3D Printing Kiosks Moving Into Toy Stores

PieceMaker Technologies has created a 3D printer kiosk that will allow toy retailers to create a “factory-in-a-store” experience, allowing customers to create 3D printed products. A way to make toy shopping more interactive and more fun.

The idea behind the technology is to allow customers to print toys and gifts at a low price, in less than 20 minutes. The retailers that choose to host a kiosk system in their stores will be bringing the “factory” experience to their customers – directly in their stores, allowing customers to choose what they want and customize it.

The process is fairly simple. The customer can choose a pre-tested design model from an interactive touch screen kiosk, customize the design to their personal preference by adding colors or even a message, and have it 3D printed.
