Co-founder and creative lead at SETUP, Tijmen Schep will give presentation at 3D Printing Event

Tijmen Schep will give a presentation about “The Digital Art Heist – exploring the 3 printer’s darker sides” during the 3D printing Event seminar “3D printing and the Law”

3D Printing EventIn 2013 SETUP created ‘the digital art heist’, a project in which we invited the citizens of Utrecht to steal the artworks in their museums by 3D scanning them. We then printed these out, and created a new exhibition form these copied works, and other 3D projects that explore the serious copyright debate that we expect will ignite in the coming years. This presentation will go into the deeper thoughts on this subject, and the related pieces on display.
