The organization will co-organize the session Session Fashion, shoes and accessories, which will take place on Tuesday 22 October at Seats2Meet in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
The network Next Fashion develops and executes the innovation agenda for the fashion sector within CLICKNL in The Netherlands. The network is centered around three parties representing the ‘golden triangle’: ArtEZ College of Arts (knowledge institutes), MODINT, Dutch fashion, textiles and carpet industry association (industry) and the Province of Gelderland and the City of Arnhem (government).
The parties have chosen to position Next Fashion within ArtEZ and not to establish a separate legal entity yet. In the coming two years NF will first use the experience it will accumulate in running innovation projects to gain a better insight into the best organizational and business model. Continuation of the current situation is an option, whereby the founding parties of Next Fashion remain involved on the basis of their core activities.
NF is managed by a core team which is responsible for addressing issues, organization, seeking funds for activities, network development, setting up projects, knowledge exchange and the further development of the innovation agenda in the coming years. The core team consists of José Teunissen (lector Fashion Desigh ArtEZ), Matthijs Crietee (fashion consultant Modint and deputy secretary general IAF) and Lucie Huiskens (program coördinator Next Fashion).
Where the core team acts as a kind of daily management, content and strategy are developed by a broader group making up the ‘editorial team’ of NF. This team consists of representatives again from the ‘triangle’ business people, researchers and government officials. These are:
José Teunissen (ArtEZ), Matthijs Crietee (Modint), Hein Daanen (TNO), Michiel Scheffer (Saxion, fashion materials design), Anneke Smelik (RUN), Souraya Bouwmans (AmFI), Anton Luiken (Texperium), Gijs van der Lee (Control Union), Ger Brinks (Saxion, smart materials), Christine Vroom (Premsela), Berry Kessels (Volkshuisvesting Arnhem), Dominique Brinkhorst (prov. Gelderland), Esther Ruiten (Arnhem).
