Kevvox Introduces Castable Material for its 3D Printers

Kevvox, a manufacturer of 3D printing solutions based in Singapore, has recently introduced a new castable material for its line of DLP 3D printers. The material has been developed following extensive research, and, according to the company, it exhibits unique physical properties and will prove particularly effective for the application of lost wax casting. The castable material was specifically developed to optimize the production process by minimizing the time — as well as the cost — associated with 3D printing.

A Kevvox spokesperson explained the motivation behind this new material, saying: “Improving the standards of 3D [printed] products has always been our main objective. We do not limit our line to traditional printing material and products. We believe in raising the standards through extensive research and development in this area. Our new product is an example of how we are striving to make 3D printing more practical, feasible and cost-effective.”

Kevvox believes that this new material will eliminate the need for the special investment powered and burnout cycle. It is able to deliver high quality results with standard gypsum investment powder. However, despite the normal burnout cycle, the wax is able to burn out completely without leaving any kind of residues or ashes. This property plays an important role in shortening the production process by way of direct casting with precision results. … (Read more)
