Maxime Legrand, Sirris, will speak at 3D Printing Materials Conference on April 16, during the 3D Printing Event at Brightlands Chemelot Campus in The Netherlands.
New materials are emerging in SLS 3D printing. How to make the best of it? In this presentation, we will consider TPU printing with SLS and how it is possible to change its mechanical properties through parameters optimization and lattice structures.

Sirris’ vision on AM Integrated Factory – Presented by Stijn Lambrechts, Sirris, at AM Factory Conference on December 4, 2018, at Brightlands Chemelot Campus, Sittard-Geleen, The Netherlands.
Sirris launched its AM Integrated Factory on November, 14th 2017. The presentation shows Sirris’ view on how 3Dprinting needs to be integrated on the shop floor. Continue reading “Sirris’ vision on AM Integrated Factory – Presented by Stijn Lambrechts, Sirris”
AM Integrated Factory Conference welcomes Sirris as Content Partner
Sirris, the collective centre of the Belgian technology industry, helps companies to introduce technological innovation enabling them to strengthen their competitive position. Every year, the 120 Sirris experts help about 1800 companies to implement technological innovations by researching new technologies, raising industry awareness of promising innovations, and providing advice at all decision-making levels and support from the initial concept to the operational solution. The organization’s tailor-made services can range from a few hours’ consulting to research projects spanning months or years. Founded in 1949 under the name WTCM-CRIF by Agoria, the Belgian Federation for the Technology Industry, the mission of Sirris has remained unchanged: increase the sector’s competitiveness through technology and innovation. Additive manufacturing is more and more used to produce functional end-parts.
However, success is no guarantee because during the production-technology-switch to AM, the design is not always adapted. However this is crucial to gain from the AM-benefits. A new approach of product design made its entry.
Topological optimization is an inspiring way to achieve lightweight parts which still fulfill all the mechanical requirements. Findings from practice are explained.

If we want additive manufacturing to become more cost effective, one key enabler will be to open up the market for material supply to AM. For quality and process stability reasons, many suppliers of AM machines try to organize the material supply for their machines by sourcing the materials and distributing them to the machine users.
For powder bed AM machines however, supply of suited powders is broadly available on the market at more cost effective prices. Continue reading “Stijn Lambrechts, Sirris, Presents: “Guide to optimize print parameters for an LBM process””
