Interview

What drives you?
I’m passionate about finding new opportunities, gathering the brightest minds and work together to succeed.

Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
As independent consultants we see how industrial 3D printing is currently impacting actual organizations. We see the opportunities, but we also see the challenges organizations have to overcome. Like always I will share my honest experience and opinion to inspire other to take action.

What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?

The trends I see are in 3 places;
1) New (partly) customizable products.
2) Digital warehousing.
3) Production optimization.

The greatest potential is in finding the right solution in 3D printers, materials and supporting software..

What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
The impact for most markets will be evolutionary instead of revolutionary. Though, especially for low volume high value markets such as medtech, oil and gas, machinery and the foodindustry the impact can be revolutionary.

What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
Skills of employees, Development across the value chain and the validation of printed products.

“Special quote”
Succeeding with Additive Manufacturing is all about changing the way your wheels are turning in your head.
It’s only 25% technology and 75% social innovation.
