LightWave 3D Group and Sketchfab Create Plug-In Software to Interactively Share and Publish LightWave 3D Models Online

The LightWave 3D Group, a division of NewTek, Inc., has teamed up with Sketchfab Inc. to deliver a free plug-in for LightWave 3D software version 11.5 or higher that seamlessly exports 3D models from LightWave to Sketchfab, a popular online web platform that allows users to publish, share, embed, and view interactive 3D models in real time. Body Labs working to Make 3D Body Models into Consumer Interface

In the not so far future, when you need to get a bespoke medical support product you will send the lab a 3D scan of yourself. When you want a dress/suit tailor made for you (or even 3D printed, or digitally knitted), you will send in a 3D scan of yourself. 3D Printing app for all (VIDEO)

As 3D printing increases in education and seeps into the consciousness of this generation’s children the more apps we’ll see aimed at encouraging those little mites to make printable 3D models. Before they get onto SketchUp like those of Chenderit school many use software such as Tinkercad or Autodesk’s 123D apps, some use the Minecraft hack, Printcraft, which allows users to export models they’ve made inside the popular video games.
