3D Printing Event welcomes CECIMO as Content Partner
About Cecimo
Cecimo is the European Association representing the common interests of
the Machine Tool Industries globally and at EU level. We bring together
15 National Associations of machine tool builders, which represent
approximately 1300 industrial enterprises in Europe (EU + EFTA +
Turkey), over 80% of which are SMEs.
CECIMO covers 98% of total Machine Tool production in Europe and
about 36% worldwide. It accounts for almost 150,000 employees and a
turnover of more than €24 billion in 2016. Approximately 75% of CECIMO
production is shipped abroad, whereas around half of it is exported
outside Europe.
CECIMO assumes a key role in determining the strategic direction of the European machine tool industry and promotes the development of the sector in the fields of economy, technology and science.
About 3D Printing Event
On April 16-17, 2019,
Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Sittart-Geleen will host a two-day event that covers the whole
3d printing / AM value chain from design to end product with four dedicated
conferences:
April 16:
3D Printing Materials Conference – Focus topics: Polymers (New materials) | Application of polymers in 3D Printing (from standard to high quality / high risk) | Multi material 3D Printing
3D Printing Design & Engineering Conference – Focus topics: 3D design & 3D engineering tools / Visualisation tools | Value Engineering / Virtual Engineering | Topology Optimization | Validation | IP, liability, legal and technical issues | Reverse engineering | Postprocessing / AMES (Additive Manufacturing Execution Systems) / (MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) | Blockchain
April 17:
3D Printing Post-Processing Conference – Focus topics: Various aspects related to the often overlooked third step in 3D printing: post-processing. The talks will cover issues, solutions and future trends.
AM Integrated Factory Conference – Focus topics: Use of Hybrid manufacturing (systems where additive and subtractive manufacturing are combined in the same machine) | Implemention of AM systems as part of an end-to-end production workflow ( including: material handling systems, multiple additive manufacturing systems, part handling systems, part cleaning systems) | Implementation of AM systems in the ‘traditional’ production processes
And forward looking into the future: 4D Printing & Meta Materials Conference, April 17
